In a statement issued on Sunday, Obi expressed his congratulations to the newly elected President General, Senator John Azuta-Mbata, Deputy President General Prince Okey Nwadinobi, Secretary-General Emeka Sibeudu, and the rest of the executive team. He praised their election as a testament to the trust and confidence the Igbo people have in their leadership abilities and dedication to the development of the region and the nation.
Obi noted, “Their emergence as leaders of Ohanaeze Ndigbo reflects the confidence and hope the people have in their leadership abilities and commitment to the progress of our region and the nation at large.”
The former governor expressed optimism that the newly elected executives would use their positions to promote national peace and unity, while generating ideas to foster development and progress across Nigeria.
