In a significant community intervention, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 62, has completed the rehabilitation of Bayo Rotimi Street in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The street, previously in poor condition, had impeded daily activities and disrupted commerce for residents and businesses in the area. The initiative, spearheaded by RCCG Lagos Province 62, aims to alleviate these challenges and enhance the community’s infrastructure.

Speaking on the project, Pastor Paschal Udah, Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Lagos Province 62, described the effort as part of the church’s Christian Social Responsibility (CSR). “We undertook this project to give back to the community and address a pressing need,” Udah stated. “By improving the condition of the road, we aim to make life easier for residents and demonstrate God’s love in practical ways.”

Assistant Pastor-in-Charge, Pastor Solomon Salau, emphasized that the project transcends physical infrastructure. “This initiative reflects our desire to extend the love of Christ to the community,” he said. “We believe that by caring for the environment and meeting practical needs, we can positively influence lives and foster stronger relationships within the community.”

The rehabilitation project is anticipated to benefit over 3,000 residents and local businesses. Pastor Gbenga Okunlaya, Assistant Pastor in charge of CSR for the province, expressed gratitude to church leadership for endorsing the project. “This endeavor not only improves infrastructure but also opens doors to greater engagement with the community, furthering our evangelistic mission,” he noted.

Community leaders and residents have expressed appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging RCCG Lagos Province 62’s commitment to fostering social development and enhancing quality of life in the area.
