Liverpool will sit at the top of the Premier League table on Christmas Day following a thrilling 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Chelsea missed the opportunity to overtake the Reds after being held to a goalless draw against Everton.

Arne Slot’s men capitalized on Chelsea’s slip-up, extending their lead to four points.

Luis Díaz and Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring for Liverpool before James Maddison reduced the deficit for Spurs.

Liverpool, however, dominated the second half, with Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai each scoring twice to secure the win.

Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke netted late consolation goals for Tottenham.

Liverpool now leads the table with 39 points and a game in hand, followed by Chelsea with 35 points and Arsenal with 33.
